A version of the classic Breakout game, that has incremental upgrades. You can purchase additional balls with special abilities, upgrade them, and once you get far enough, prestige for permanent upgrades.

You can move the paddle with A and D, or the left and right arrow keys, or by clicking / pressing somewhere in the game window to move to that location.

The two biggest issues to me: The logic dictating the paddle when on Auto mode is either far too simple or outright broken (as another commenter noted, it always prefers tracking the furthest left ball, which is silly), and you can't easily tell which arrow corresponds to the currently queued ball on the paddle when there's more than 1 ball queued.

Besides that, there is potential here if the balancing can be ironed out and those two issues could be addressed. The playing field feels a bit small, too. It'd feel a bit more engaging if it was about 2-2.5x as wide, and the height sensibly scaled to fit that change.

Just one observation: The auto-paddle looks for the far left ball always. This casues it with 10 balls to be stuck on the left side. I would suggest to try to catch the most botttom ball...

What's the song?

The game is nice, but could be much better if you added more juice (i.e. animations and effects) also some way to make the active gameplay more engaging.

Also please make the mouse controls such that click activates/deactivates mouse control and then the paddle simply follows the mouse position.

nice game.

i like the explanations for the buttons etc.

i agree with the comment before me, a bit. all 3 points. but this is game jam and those are details that require more time to lick the game.

good practise.

1) The GUI needs work. A sans serif font and a larger size would help.

2) Hotkeys for some of the buttons like Upgrades and Movement Mode would be great

3) The ball should bounce based on paddle position not just physics.

Doesn't feel like there's much progression in this one because everything costs so much and does so little (paddle upgrades especially). It would be nice to upgrade the income, which I guess the upgrades technically do by making things marginally faster but the impact is just too small to feel worth it. Maybe that would have changed with prestige but getting there takes too long to hold my attention.

Cool but there is a problem with some things not reseting perperly once you prestige. The balls count is stuck to 10 while I have only 1 ball, and so I can't buy more, and I can't sell either...  Looks softblock but I reloaded the page and it reset to 1 so you need to reload the page
